Privacy Policy

FederalShield LLC (“FederalShield”, “we”, “us”) runs this website, the FederalShield AI Security Academy and Scan&Act Level 1 (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and sign-in details when you create a Scan&Act account, either with email and password or with Google sign-in.
• Assessment information. Your answers to the assessment questions, the evidence you describe, and the company details you enter, such as company name, CAGE code, UEI, number of employees, affirming official and scope.
• Evidence files. Files you choose to upload to back up your answers, such as screenshots, exports and policies, together with their names and sizes.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, billing email and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We never see or store your full card number.
• Contact and training information. Your name, email and company when you ask to be notified about new products, and your name and course progress when you enroll in an Academy course.
• Technical information. Standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, which our hosting provider keeps for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising trackers.

What we do not ask for

Scan&Act never connects to your computers or network. Do not enter or upload passwords, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or classified information in any of the Services. Before uploading a screenshot or export, remove anything you would not want stored outside your company.

How we use information

• To provide the Services, including generating your document pack.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send messages about your account, such as receipts, and the product updates you asked for.
• To keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your assessment answers to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run the Services for us, under their own security commitments:

• Google Cloud and Firebase (Google LLC) for hosting, sign-in and data storage.
• Stripe, Inc. for payments.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, or to a buyer if FederalShield is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your answers, company details and evidence files while your subscription is active. When a subscription ends, we keep them for 30 days so you can renew without losing your work, and then delete them automatically. If you never subscribe, we keep your free assessment while your account is open, but delete any files you uploaded 7 days after upload. You can delete individual files at any time, and when you ask us to delete your account we do so within 30 days. We keep payment records as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting providers. Evidence files are kept in private storage in the United States, and only your signed-in account can see your assessment or download your files. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a breach affects it.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change your answers and company details in Scan&Act at any time, and cancel your subscription from your account. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes, we will also notify account holders by email.
